Alaska has a rich history of brewing. From the explorers of the 1700s through the Gold Rush, many a thirsty Alaskan has been able to enjoy locally made beers.
In 1986, 28-year-olds Marcy and Geoff Larson reignited that tradition when they opened the Alaskan Brewing Company, the 67th independent brewery in the country and the first brewery in Juneau since Prohibition.
The Tasting Room is open year-round and offers an off-the-beaten-path destination for visitors and locals alike to relax, meet friends and try Alaskan’s newest brews. It is conveniently located 5 miles from downtown Juneau and 3 miles from the airport.
Our Depot location has the best selection of Alaskan Beer Gear located conveniently downtown, our Tasting Room is the best place to enjoy one of our award-winning beers, seltzers, canned cocktails, and handcrafted non-alcoholic sodas.
